Colin, Heather, Holly and Zoe will be on holiday 20th June 2008 until 5th July 2008. During this period Joan & Brian will be taking over the tearoom, in order to help them cope we will be reducing the menus. Due to Holly's attendance at nursery we will have to slightly alter our opening times on a Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday. During NY school term times we will have to open at 11.30am on these days. Outside school term time and Bank Holiday's, we will be open at 11.00am.

Notice posted 2nd May 2007:

The road to Kildale via Gt Ayton will be closed on 8th May 07 for 4 days. The road closes just after Easby and re-opens at the Ingleby Greennhow / Battersby turn-off. If you are coming via Gt Ayton / Stokesley direction your easiest option is to take a right in Easby towards Ingleby Greenhow and follow the road through Ingleby Greenhow and Battersby and you will come out just past the closure, as you turn right towards Kildale. Alternatively if you are coming from Whitby or Guisborough direction, take the Castleton turn off on the moors road and go through Commondale, the next village on is Kildale.

Sadly we move out of British Summer Time this weekend, so we now alter our openings times slightly. With the earlier dark nights we move to a 5.00pm close and then when the days are really short we close at 4.30pm. All the time we still maintain our 11.00am opening throughout.

Also, Colin, Heather & Holly will be on holiday from Mon 20th Nov to Sat 25th Nov 2006, so we will be on the reduced menu while Joan & Brian, kindly, look after things for us. We will also be on holiday from Tuesday 12th Dec to Friday 15th Dec, so we will be on the reduced menu again while Joan & Brian hold the fort for us.

As of 24th November 2005 we are now fully licensed to sell alcohol. i.e. we were only allowed to serve alcohol with food but with the new licensing act coming into force this year you can now just pop in for a beer or glass of wine etc.

We have decided that because we get a regular day off now, (Thursdays) our opening times over the festive season will remain unchanged this year. We will be open 11am till 4.30pm and will be open on Thursday 22nd (this and next week only)also open 23rd, closed 24th, 25th, 26th, reopen on 27th, 28th, and we will be open on Thursday 29th for this last week only, also open on 30th but closed again on 31st and 1st Jan 2006. Re-opening on the 2nd Jan and then back to normal opening times hereafter. Have a Very Merry Christmas and a Fantastic New Year. In 2005 we became the proud parents of a gorgeous little girl, Holly. We feel it is important to have some quality time with her as she grows up, but because we work Glebe Cottage 7 days a week all year, it is not possible. So, it is with this in mind that we have made the decision to close on Thursdays as of the end of summer 2005. We hope you understand .
